Yes, when you figure it that way, as long as you get the mileage out of the belt. What really would hurt would be if something got into the belt and tore it up. By the way, I used to have a GN400X, a 400cc thumper of about 25hp. I replaced a badly worn chain and hooked sprockets with teeth missing at 20,000 miles. The cost was less than $60.00,(a standard chain and NOT from a dealer) not too bad, but the bike was light powered so tires and all went further. The problem with bike parts is that the dealers know they have us by the "shorts", so I'm always on the look out for after market jobbers that are satisfied with reasonable profit. Thanks
